Gold Award Service Projects

Hey there, Girl Scouts! Troop 574 is helping George Truett Elementary for their Silver Award project. This DISD school is severely overcrowded, underfunded, and in great need of help. We need your help in collecting books for the school, since they do not have enough funds to purchase books for their library. You can help by dropping off the books that you collect for your 8-9-10 projects at the donation box located at First United Methodist Church in Wesley Hall. This could count as the “9” part in the 8-9-10 project.

In addition, if any Girl Scouts are seeking ideas for their “Perfect Ten” they could collect children’s belts or gently used backpacks to benefit Truett Elementary. These items can be dropped off in the same donation box at The First United Methodist Church in Wesley Hall. The donation box will be open through August 10,2010.

All donations are greatly appreciated!
