Financial Report Forms Overdue

It's past time to turn in your Troop Annual Financial Reports. Some additional information is being requested such as complete contact information for all troop volunteers whose positions are related to the financial status of the troop. This includes troop leaders and assistant leaders, troop cookie managers, everyone signing on the troop bank account(s), anyone holding troop funds not in the bank account(s), and of course the person completing the form. Also, we are asking for information about participation in the cookie program, names of recognitions earned by the girls in the troop, and whether an activity approval form was completed for each money-earning activity the troop participated in other than the cookie program.
If any of the troops in the service unit have already completed the paper form, they can go ahead and turn in the paper form, or transfer the data from the paper form onto the new online form and submit.
If you’re completing the online form, once you click the submit button, a copy of the data submitted will be emailed to:

Two weeks after the form is submitted, Rebecca will send out a volunteer experience assessment to all volunteers listed on the form. She will keep track as assessments are completed.  Volunteers will be prompted to respond to the assessment twice.

The troop volunteers in each troop who are responsible for completing the troop financial report just need to click on the link below and complete the requested information.
www.gsnetx.org\troopfinancialreport.

Bank Accounts

It is important for each troop to have a dedicated bank account in the troop's name. You can choose whichever bank you would like, but you must get approval from council. Click here to download the form (retrieved from the gsnetx website on 10/30/09).

Comerica Bank has been particularly helpful to many troops. They have even offered to come to your location to help you set up an account. It takes a $100 minimum deposit to open an account, but after that there is no minimum balance and there are NO FEES. Contact Sandra Jean Orta 972-393-1323 in the Coppell Office (128 North Denton Tap Road) or email her at sjorta@comerica.com. She was at the October Leader meeting to offer her help.
